Day 9 of the 365 Before Thirty project – I like to collect strange things, a habit picked up from my parents. This particular item is a claw that was shed from my pet yabby. We took the claw and stuffed it full of salt to preserve it. The process did affect the colouration of the claw as it was originally a vibrant blue. The title of the post comes from the fact that the Australian Yabby has the most badass of all scientific names – Cherax destructor.
