Day 2 – Wild Flower

Flower in the sun

Day 2 of the 365 Before Thirty project – I honestly have no idea what type of flower this is (but will try to find out). If you know what it is, leave a comment or hit me up on twitter. Found growing next to my local bus stop.

UPDATE: I have been informed that this is a Dietes bicolor – Known by a few names – African iris, Fortnight lily or Peacock flower. It’s a native to South Africa and appears it will grow quite happily in Brisbane if given a little shade.
